Shannon Callahan
At 5 years old, Shannon began dancing, singing, and playing piano — performing in the National Piano Guild, as well as her church. At 7 she won the National Exchange Club search for talent as a dancer, and later went on to become an award-winning dancer in many national dance competitions. At 12, she recorded her first professional vocal demo, and at 13 she was a featured performer on the Fox Family Channel. At 15, armed with Acid Loops — her first Digital Audio Workstation (Daw) — a MIDI controller, and her first acoustic guitar, she began venturing more into the world of sound creation, crafting beats and melodies that reflected her dark/hypnotic emerging musical style. From 15-16, she worked professionally dancing for the WNBA as a SparKid (The LA Sparks Dance Team), and performed halftime shows for the NBA and Women’s World Cup, all before graduating from the Commercial Dance Department of OCHSA (Orange County High School of the Arts). She later graduated magna cum laude from Walden University with a B.S. in Psychology. In 2016, Shannon teamed up with Jaime Morales in what started as a band, but they immediately found themselves on the journey of building Planet Mischief into the music production company it is today. While initially writing and performing with their band Blood Sells, they were also busy writing a music cue library and loop libraries to appeal to filmmakers, game developers, and content creators. Additionally, they released their first LP Pipelines and they are currently working on their 2nd and 3rd studio albums Melodiséa and Sirena. Most recently Shannon performed as the frontwoman for Medusa, SoCal’s Anthrax tribute band along with Jaime on drums. Now the duo is composing the film score for indie horror flick The Face of Gone with prominent writer/director Eric Shapiro.
